1. Pricing
Please note, all prices on the page are current until December 2024.
Burial Plots and Interment Fees
- Single Burial Plot: £750.00
- Orchard Burial Plot: £1,000.00
- Interment Fee: £575.00 (Includes grave digging, surveyor, and funeral administration)
- Single Ashes Plot: £200.00
- Ashes Interment Fee: £150.00
- Validity: All prices are valid until 31st December 2024.

2. Interment Process
To carry out an interment, completion of our Interment Form is mandatory. This document will ask for specific information about the deceased, including their full name, date of birth, and date of death. You’ll also need to specify the type of grave you’re opting for, as well as the dimensions of the coffin or casket being used.
In addition to the form, it’s essential to attach one of the following: Registrar’s Burial Form, Coroner’s Certificate, or Cremation Certificate. Payment for the selected burial plot, along with any extra charges such as weekend surcharges, must be submitted alongside the completed form.

3. Memorial Application
You can apply for a memorial ground stone by filling out the Memorial Application Form.
- Cost for a 30cm x 20cm granite stone inscribed with the name and dates of the deceased: £260
- The right for a memorial stone to remain in place is granted for 25 years.

4. Plot Application
- To secure adjacent plots, they need to be reserved now.
- A granite plaque can be purchased for £260.00.
- The applicant is the person paying for the plots and to whom we will send correspondence, certificates, and receipts.

5. Additional Costs
- Weekend Surcharge: £250
- Grave Digging Charges: £575.00 for burial; £150 for ashes
6. Health and Safety
We take health and safety seriously. The person organising the funeral is responsible for completing a Health and Safety Risk Assessment as part of the Interment Form. This includes identifying potential hazards such as uneven ground, muddy conditions, and more. For more details, please refer to the Interment 2024 Form (Word docx format).
7. Burial Terms
The right for a memorial stone to remain in place is granted for 25 years. At the end of that period, families may apply for an extension, which may incur a further fee. The Meadow Cemetery is not responsible for any damage or theft that occurs to the memorial stone. For full terms and conditions, please refer to our Burial Terms.
